Learn how to throw accompanied by other queer-identifying people in our community! This session is a great opportunity for people to try the potter's wheel for the first time while in a space that is safe and encouraging to beginners. In this two-hour session, our instructor Roe (they/them) will give you a demonstration of how to throw and then guide you through the process of trying it out for yourself. You’ll learn how to center clay on the wheel, create an open form, and -- if you're lucky -- maybe even raise up the sides to make a cup or bowl! This session is for students age 18 and older, and for anyone who identifies as queer or LGBTQIA.
