Membership Description

Dates: September 20 to October 25 (six weeks) Day: Friday afternoons Time: 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Designed for young artists aged 10 to 14, this hands-on course introduces students to the magical world of clay. Over six, two-hour sessions, students will learn various clay techniques including hand-building, sculpting, wheel throwing, and glazing. Each young artist will create and keep their own unique pieces, from whimsical creatures to thrown pottery. No prior experience is necessary -- just an imagination and willingness ready to get your hands dirty! Clay and glazes are included in the cost of the class. * NOTE * the Friday, October 11 class will run from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. as the studio (and all other local venues) will need to be set up for Art Walk by the afternoon. Sliding scale and scholarships are available for young artists in need of assistance to participate. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any refunds if canceled within 10 days of the start of the course.
