Membership Description

Dates: January 17 to February 19 Day: Wednesday evenings Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Instructor: Kristen Hodges Perfect for beginners and those with clay experience. Students have full access to the studio to practice and build skills outside of class. Each class will focus on mastering a new skill and aspect of handbuilding, followed by practice time with instructor supervision. Students will keep any finished pieces created in the class. Class I -- Intro to pottery and handbuilding: slab roller and using molds Class II -- Additional handbuilding techniques: extruder and coil pots Class III -- Slab work continued: texture impressions Class IV -- Handles and the foot Class V: Surface decoration and underglaze Class VI: Glazing Sliding scale and need-based scholarships are available. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any refunds if cancelled within 10 days of the start of the course.
